5. Tyranny
This game is a bureaucratic take on the evil protagonist. You are an agent of evil in this game, but it’s not all about slashing and killing good guys.
Your focus is largely upon the systemic structures of the game, ideologies, and political plays. This, in reality, is a more honest view of evil in our world.
6. Dark Souls 3
Another third! This is a game for the person who likes to take the time to understand lore, explore nooks and crannies, and treat the game like it’s a semi-real scavenger hunt.
You’ll be rewarded for taking your time, trust us. Additionally, the visual aspects of the game were groundbreaking in 2016 and still hold water to this day.
7. Skyrim
You’ve likely heard enough about Skyrim to make your head spin. It’s all for good reason, though, because it’s one of the world’s most inventive and enjoyable games to play.
You can literally spend a near-eternal amount of time exploring the landscape of the game. Be anyone you want, do whatever you want, and finally see what everyone is talking about.
8. Horizon: Zero Dawn
Worried about the news and the apocalypse that climate change seems to be beckoning? Zero Dawn gives you a little idea of the post-apocalyptic wastelands we can expect.
The game is stunningly sophisticated and offers a vast world that begs to be explored. Further, the main character Aloy is one that’s vastly complex and dynamic.
9. Bloodborne
Develop your character from a skilless one into a warrior. In doing so, you’ll encounter a beautiful world that’s almost something that a great classical painter would have dreamed up if they were alive today.
The thick sadness present in the NPCs is something you might have to get used to, though.
10. World of Warcraft
There’s no denying such a classic. If you’ve yet to spend time playing WOW, it might be time to get into it.
There’s definitely a valid reason that it still has such a vibrant group of players.
